Turners at center of documentary
 on Mission Hill

Brian Culkin has wandered down a variety of career paths since his days in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., where he was a record-setting point guard on the basketball team at Division 3 Skidmore College. Now 34, the trim, sandy-haired Braintree native has run both a mortgage business and a yoga center, but neither pursuit satisfied his urge to do something that could merge his fascination with history, art and basketball.

And then, last summer, while spending some time in Hollywood — he was consulting on an Internet start-up business, not writing a screenplay or auditioning for a part on a sitcom — Culkin received a Facebook message from Baron “Tiny” Turner.
